Inuit Traditions

In Social Studies, we have been learning about the Inuit.  Below are videos about three Inuit cultural traditions from the Inuit Cultural Online Resource.

Division 9 Students -  After watching the videos, post a comment explaining one new thing that you learned from each video.

  2. I learned that throat singing is a traditional game played by 2 women standing face to face. I also learned that the Inuit's games are mostly about animals. The last thing I learned is that the Inuit use Lots of drums. I REALLY liked watching these videos. Michelle and Juilet

  3. I learned how they made music from drums made out of animal skins, it makes a really good sound.
    I learned from the games how they do a seal walk and a walrus walk.
    That there singing is different from ares it sounded like a robot, a factory, cats and the pokemon darmanatan. Jordan

    I learned how to play the drum in the first vidioes.In the second one I learned how to do a high kick.The last one I learned what the Inuit people sing.Jayda

  5. An inuit drumming thing that we learned was that if someones drumming people will sing. and a inuit game that we like is back push and muskxoks push. a throught singing thing that we learned is i-u-a.

BIRDSALL we learned on the 1 video that while they drummed as they looked like they were dancing on 2 one we learned how the inuit did a back kick and how to do a leg ressele on the 3 video we learned that when they were singing they go face to face and then say humma we had lots of fun from alta and maddy
